With the improvement of the manufacturing level and production technology of wire drawing molds, the further development trend of polycrystalline mold processing technology in China, especially in the material, structure and other aspects of wire drawing molds, has made great progress. But overall, there is a significant gap compared to abroad. Although the types of wire drawing molds produced abroad are similar to those produced domestically, the materials and processes used are more advanced, and the precision, durability, and wear resistance of wire drawing molds are better than those of Chinese products. Therefore, improving the management methods of mold manufacturing, enhancing the quality of polycrystalline molds, and promoting the technological development of mold manufacturing are the key to the mold processing and manufacturing industry.
In order to enhance manufacturing competitiveness in the production of metal products in foreign countries, there is an increasing emphasis on improving the quality and manufacturing technology of wire drawing molds. From the perspective of improving the service life of wire drawing molds, systematic software research has been carried out on the materials, structure, manufacturing technology, production and manufacturing machinery and equipment, and testing instruments of polycrystalline grinding tools. Scientific research has been conducted on composite wire drawing molds, new materials for polycrystalline grinding tools, the application of new surface coating technologies, and the conceptual design of new plate holes for wire drawing molds.
